We've finally reached the turning of the leaves here. The predominant color seems to be orange, with a little red. In the city garden, the peppers and tomatoes are a bright crimson hue. The chard and kale are a nice contrasting dark green. Flowers seem invigorated by this cool weather. Soon, everything but the cold hardy plants will be gone or inside. The herbs like Rosemary and Sage seem to do ok in a sunny window but we never had real luck with basil unless it was in an Aerogarden. Time to break those out soon, we still crave fresh greens and cherry tomatoes. Here are some shots of the latest harvest and flowers.
