Part 1 – Beginner Beekeeping Series – Is Beekeeping for You? Perhaps you would like to harvest honey or beeswax, pollinate your plantings, help the plight of the honey bee, or experience the pure satisfaction and pleasure of raising bees. NOW is your chance to order bees for the season. The Beginner Beekeeping Series is led by local beekeeper, Debbie Demmer. Through research, innovation, experimentation, observation, and care, Debbie has become a beekeeper of happy, healthy bees. She pursues bio-dynamic, chemical-free beekeeping and is currently developing an all-natural line of skin and hair care products. Her teaching is thought provoking, practical and fun. Is Beekeeping for You? is the first class of the Beginner Beekeeping Series. Attendees of this class will have the opportunity to explore the following:
When: Monday, March 5th, 2012 from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm. Where: All classes will be held at the NOFA-NJ Headquarters at 334 River Road, Hillsborough, NJ 08844. This is an introductory class preceding 5 additional hands-on experiential learning classes that will feature some wonderful additional speakers.
